Abstract: Objective To study the effect of precision nursing in elderly patients with chronic heart failure complicated with sarcopenia. Methods From December 2018 to July 2020, 162 elderly patients with chronic heart failure and sarcopenia admitted to our hospital were selected and randomly divided into control group (82 cases) and research group (80 cases). The control group received conventional nursing intervention for elderly chronic heart failure patients with sarcopenia, and the research group received precision nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. The intervention time was two months. Cardiac functions including left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), left ventricular end diastolic volume (LVEDV), left ventricular end systolic volume(LVESV), and muscle grip strength, Minnesota living heart failure questionnaire (MLHFQ) and treatment compliance of the two groups before and after intervention were compared and analyzed. Results After the intervention, the level of LVEF of the two groups was significantly higher than that before intervention, especially in the research group (P<0.05). The levels of LVEDV, LVESV, the scores of different dimensions of MLHFQ and the total MLHFQ score of the two groups were significantly reduced, especially in the research group (P<0.05). The muscle grip of the research group was significantly higher than that of the control group and before intervention (P<0.05). In addition, the treatment compliance rate of the research group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Precision nursing can improve the heart and muscle function of the elderly patients with chronic heart failure complicated with sarcopenia, as well as treatment compliance and quality of life.
