Effects of environmental exposure on cognitive impairment

Abstract: In recent years, the impact of environmental exposure on human health, especially on cognitive impairment, has attracted increasing attention. This article reviews the influence of exposure to common air pollutants (including particulate matter, ozone, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, etc.) and metals (such as plumbum, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, etc.) in daily life and production on cognitive impairment, and investigates the related manifestations and potential mechanisms on cognitive impairment.
