山西省农村空巢老人口腔健康与衰弱的相关性研究

Correlation between oral health and frailty in rural empty nesters of Shanxi province

摘要： 目的 探讨农村空巢老年人口腔健康与衰弱的相关性。 方法 采用便利抽样法选取山西省平遥县下辖8个行政村483名农村空巢老年人,使用一般情况调查表、Fried衰弱表型与老年口腔健康评价指数(Geriatric Oral Health Assessment Index,GOHAI)中文版对其进行调查。 结果 483名农村空巢老年人的GOHAI平均分为(38.12±15.23)分,处于中低水平;有206名(42.7%)老年人被评估为衰弱,且衰弱老年人的GOHAI各维度得分及总分均显著低于非衰弱老年人(P＜0.01)。Spearman相关分析显示,Fried衰弱表型与GOHAI总分及各维度得分均呈负相关(P＜0.01)。 结论 农村空巢老年人的口腔健康与衰弱呈显著负相关。医务人员应重视口腔健康状况不佳老年人的衰弱评估,尽早干预,从而提高生活质量。

Abstract: Objective To investigate the correlation between oral health and frailty in the rural empty nesters of Shanxi province. Methods A total of 483 empty nesters were conveniently selected from Pingyao county of Shanxi province.The questionnaire survey was carried out by using the Fried Phenotype, self-designed general situation questionnaire and Geriatric Oral Health Assessment Index (GOHAI). Results Among the 483 rural empty nesters, the mean score of GOHAI was 38.12±15.23 and 206 cases (42.7%) were assessed as frailty.The scores in all dimensions and total score of GOHAI in the elderly with frailty were significantly lower than those in the elderly without frailty (P＜0.01). Spearman correlation analysis showed that the total score and score of each dimension of GOHAI were negatively correlated with the score of Fried Phenotype (P＜0.01). Conclusions The oral health of the rural empty nesters is negatively correlated with frailty. Medical staff should pay more attention to the frailty assessment of the elderly with poor oral health,and early intervention should be taken as soon as possible, so as to improve the quality of life in the rural empty nesters.
