Abstract: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disease that primarily affects the motor functions of patients and is accompanied by a range of non-motor symptoms, severely impacting the quality of life. With the aging population, the incidence of PD continues to rise, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and effective treatment. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of PD, particularly in the development of early diagnostic techniques, pharmacological treatments, surgical interventions and emerging therapies. For example, advancements in imaging technology have made early identification of PD possible, while the emergence of new generation drugs has provided patients with more treatment options. Additionally, surgical treatments such as deep brain stimulation have shown good results in improving motor symptoms. This article will discuss these advancements, aiming to provide new insights and inspiration for clinical practice and promote the development of comprehensive management and treatment strategies for PD.
