Abstract: Objective To explore the application of project management method based on multidisciplinary collaboration in the nutrition management in the elderly patients with dysphagia. Methods A total of 168 elderly patients with dysphagia in our hospital from March 2021 to March 2022 were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group, with 84 cases in each group. The intervention group received nutrition management by the project management method based on multidisciplinary cooperation, and the control group received traditional nutrition management. After 3 months of intervention, the incidence of dysphagia-related complications, nutritional status and swallowing quality of life were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The incidence rate of dysphagia-related complications in the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group(4.8% vs 20.2%,P<0.05).After 3 months of intervention, the scores of the Chinese version of the elderly nutrition scale and the levels of the nutrition-related laboratory indexes were more significantly improved than those before intervention in the two groups, especially in the intervention group(P<0.05).The score of swallowing-quality of life was significantly higher than that before intervention in the two groups, especially in the intervention group (P<0.01). Conclusions The project management method based on multidisciplinary cooperation is helpful to improve the nutritional indicators and swallowing quality of life in the elderly patients with dysphagia.
