【Abstract】 ObjectiveTo study the characteristics of carotid ultrasonography in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD), and to investigate the relationship between the parameters of carotid blood flow and CHD.MethodsEighty-seven subjects who underwent angiography were recruited in the study, and the subjects were categorized into 4 groups according to the characteristics of angiography: control group(n=23), single vessel lesion group(n =21),double vessel lesion group(n =27),triple vessel lesion group(n =16). All patients underwent carotid artery ultrasonography, and the carotid atherosclerosis plaque was observed simultaneously. Peak systolic velocity(PSV),end diastolic velocity(EDV),mean velocity(Vmean), pulsatility index (PI),resistance index (RI) and inner diameter of CCA were measured by color Doppler ultrasound(CDUS). Lipid profile(TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C)and FBG were measured by biochemistry in all patients.ResultsThe incidence rate of the carotid atherosclerotic plagues were increased with the increase of coronary artery lesion degree(P<0.01).RI in patients with CHD was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05). Age and systolic blood pressure were closely correlated with EVD,RI,PSV and inner diameter of CCA.ConclusionsThe number of carotid plaque and the parameter of carotid blood flow are significantly associated with CHD, and carotid ultrasound can be valuable for diagnosis and treatment of CHD.
